About TOEFL 2025

What is TOEFL exam? The TOEFL test is a standardised English language proficiency test that assesses the English language skills of candidates who wish to study abroad. The TOEFL full form is the Test of English as a Foreign Language. The TOEFL exam is administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) and is held using the computer-based TOEFL iBT format. The alternative paper-delivered method can only be used in locations lacking an internet connection. TOEFL exam syllabus generally measures the four communication skills - reading, listening, speaking, and writing to enrol international students.

The TOEFL exam is approved for employment and immigration purposes and entrance to more than 11,000 colleges and institutions in 150 different countries. Top countries like the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia use TOEFL scores to evaluate the English language proficiency of international students. The computer-based ETS TOEFL is administered more than 60 times annually and can be taken at designated testing centres. The TOEFL exam dates are available throughout the year at various test centres across the country. The candidates can check the availability of the TOEFL exam dates 2025 before registering for the proficiency test on the official website of ETS.

After the TOEFL test dates, the score achieved is valid for two years. TOEFL 2025 registration is around the clock. Furthermore, bear in mind that there are no prerequisites for taking the TOEFL Essentials Test; rather, candidates must achieve the minimal TOEFL score requirements, both sectional and overall, established by the school to which they are applying. The TOEFL exam fee in India is USD 205 (Rs. 17,140 approx.) for the iBT test and USD 120 (Rs. 10,030 approx.) for the TOEFL Essential. Questions related to TOEFL

Have a question related to TOEFL ?

GRE, TOEFL, IELTS, and GMAT are standardized tests often required for admission to universities abroad, but they serve different purposes. The **GRE** (Graduate Record Examination) is used for admission to graduate programs and some business schools, focusing on verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and analytical writing. The **TOEFL** (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and **IELTS** (International English Language Testing System) assess English language proficiency, often required for non-native speakers applying to English-speaking countries; TOEFL is more common in the U.S., while IELTS is popular in the U.K. and other regions. The **GMAT** (Graduate Management Admission Test) is specifically for business school admissions, testing quantitative, verbal, analytical writing, and integrated reasoning skills, and is required for MBA programs. I would advise that you get in touch with a prominent abroad education advisor - a great one will really help you through the entire process, end-to-end.

Hello,

Hope you are doing great!

TOEFL questions are almost entirely multiple choice. Test of English as a Foreign Language is a standardized test to measure the English language ability of non-native speakers wishing to enroll in English-speaking universities. TOEFL being entirely computer-based means you won't have to interact with an actual human. The test is accepted by more than 11,000 universities and other institutions in over 190 countries and territories. While most Indian students looking to give the TOEFL are likely to be comfortable with computers and keyboards, chances are they haven't taken a computerized test before. For most Indians coming from English medium schools, the TOEFL won't be a difficult exam to do well in.

Yes, you can prepare and appear for IELTS and TOEFL. Because they are just Language proficiency exams and are not your regular entrance examinations, they do not have any eligibility criteria as such. candidates are required to take the TOEFL test if universities, colleges, or educational institutions of English-speaking countries require TOEFL scores as part of their admission criteria.
