LSAT Abroad Scores 2025

The LSAT scores range on a scale of 120 to 180, where 120 is the lowest possible score and 180 is the highest score of the LSAT. With an average LSAT score usually around 150, any scores above 160 are considered competitive for admission to top law schools abroad. The LSAT, or Law School Admission Test, is a standardised test required for admission to most law schools in the United States and Canada. While the test is primarily used for admission to law schools in these countries, some international law schools also accept LSAT scores as part of their admissions process.

The LSAT exam does not have any negative markings. The LSAT abroad scores 2025 will be calculated using a statistical procedure known as equating. The LSAT scores will include the candidate’s current score, score band, LSAT scores percentile rank, and the average score in case the candidate has more than one reportable score.

Many students take the LSAT in their home countries and then apply to top law schools abroad, especially in the United States. All the applicants have to submit their LSAT scores for law to be considered for the selection process. Students who want to study abroad for law courses fill out the application form through the LSAT abroad registration. Every law school has set its entry requirements depending on their departmental needs.

Now, LSAC also offers a Score Preview option for all the applicants who appear in the exam to see their LSAT score before deciding whether to keep it or send it to law schools. Once the students receive the LSAT score preview, they need to decide whether they want to send the scores to the law schools or not within 6 days of receiving them.

How to Check LSAT Abroad Scores?

The LSAT score will be posted to the LSAT Status page of the student’s LSAC JD account. Candidates will receive an email when their score is available. All the students who take the LSAT exam must have completed the LSAT writing sample on file to see their scores or have their scores released to law schools.

The scores for the LSAT abroad 2025 will be valid for up to 5 years from the date of the test.

From the start of the August 2025 test, the LSAT will consist of two scored Logical Reasoning (LR) sections, one scored Reading Comprehension (RC) section, and one unscored section of either LR or RC. Hence, the scores will be divided accordingly.

LSAT Abroad Score Report: Details Mentioned

The LSAT Abroad Score Report will include the following details.

  • The current score of the candidate.

  • Results of all tests—up to 12—for which the candidate has registered since June 1, 2014. It includes absences and cancellations. Scores earned before June 2014 will, however, not be reported.

  • An average score is when the candidate has more than one reportable score on file.

  • cxScore band.

  • Percentile rank reflects the percentage of candidates whose scores were lower than those of the candidate during the previous three testing years. A percentile rank is reported for all the reported scores each year by the end of July.

  • If the candidate took a disclosed test, he/she will also have access to test disclosure materials.
